About

I first got the idea for this blog when I decided to photograph my frog collection.  I didn't particularly want to just take mug shots, so my husband and I started carrying frogs with us when we went to explore the city.   We thought that it would be fun to try to capture the textures of the city--small spaces that no one really noticed much--as we documented my collection.

And then we had a baby.

As we drove around Brooklyn on hot afternoons, trying to get George to nap (so we could stop for ice cream), we discovered that there were frogs everywhere--playgrounds, parks, yards--and that they needed to be documented.   And then we started travelling a little more and added a feature called "NYC Frog Project On the Road."

And then we moved to South Dakota.

Where there are also lots of frogs . . .
