Yankton Mural

Yankton Mural
Yankton, SD

Originally home to the Yankton Sioux, the site of present-day Yankton was the territorial capital of the Dakotas from 1861 to 1883, when it was moved to Bismarck, ND.  This mural was painted in 2009. There is a frog watching the steamboat.

Playground Frogs

 Norfolk, NE

The name of the town is pronounced "Norfork" by residents (and the Google Map Witch).  We found these frogs at the Lions Club parade.  The frog's friends were pretty interesting, too: an elephant with a bird tail and a beaver with the tail of a horse.
